To all our friends,

Our team is right now acclimatizing at the Advance Base Camp
(5700m/18,696ft) of Mt. Cho Oyu on the Tibet side.  In a day or two
the team will start ferrying loads and supplies to Camp 1 (and
subsequently to Camp 2).  Depending on the team members\’ physical
condition and the weather, and if all goes well an attempt for the
summit can be launch on the 1st week of October.

Everybody\’s fine and raring to climb Mt. Cho Oyu (8201m/26,906ft) the
6th highest mountain peak in the world.

THIS WILL BE THE HIGHEST PEAK A PINAY/PINAYS WILL HAVE CLIMBED.

Include us in your prayers, that our team will have good fortune and
be successful.

Thank you very much for all your support.

Maraming salamat sa inyong mapagmahal na pag alaala. Hi from Nepal

April 7th, 2006

Hi gys,

so far everythings pleasant here. the problem is boredom. the khumbu icefall is still closed so everybody is in namche bazar or wherever. so nobody is climbing yet or even setting up tent at everest base camp. the gys are still in good spirit. leo is just back from a trek up kala pattar, a 6,000m summit. pastour finished a 6 day trek in two days. so i guess they are acclimatizing well in the altitude.

the rest of the team have arrived in kathmandu. but they have been unlucky as there is a general strike going on in the city and most of the shops are closed. also there is a curfew so it’s hard to go around

the good thing was the filipino community here in nepalhas again hosted a wonderful dinner party for the team. a lot of filipinop food was prepared. like the pochero of butch was really delicious. I guess wherever you are the spirit of filipino bayanihan goes with you. Thanks to all the filipinos in kathmandu the team was able to adjust very well here

thanks again to our sponsors

sinigang dinuguan pata enselada at marami pang iba. Ang sarap talaga
ng pinoy food especially after a week of dhal bat, nasala, roti momo
at kung ano ano pang nepali food.

right now pastour is back in namche bazar after a trek around the
area, yung dapat na six day trek ginawa nyang 2 days. si leo went
back to kala patar and gorak shep then towards everest base camp. by
tomorrow he will be back with pastour.

Kathmandu

March 31st, 2006

hi guys,

right now me and Jb have met up with Fred Jamili here in Kathmandu.

the place is great and i’m sure you guys will love it here. Kathamdu

is like a mixture of baguio sagada and boracay. baguio because of

the weather and the physical layout. sagada beacayse of that old

world ambience and boracay because of the tourist and shops.

they say that there are two kinds of tourist here. the one that goes

out for adventures, like mountaineering and that ones that goes for

another kind of high (dami kasi dito ). Our question is pano kami

where do we fall in these category, hehe

Sa mga mahilig mag ukay magsasawa kayo dito ang daming gamit na if

you compare the price in manila makukuha nyo gusto nyo. Yung nga

lang ang dami rin fakes dito. Jun kabayo pag nandito ka maglalaway

ka!

Hopefully by next week we can go to Lukla then start our trek to

Namche Bazar to link up with Pastour and Leo. Naghahanap pa kami ng

bargain na gamit dahil ang dami pa naming kulang.

anyway sa lahat salamat sa suporta at sana mag ingat ang lahat
